JEWELRY CARE
To ensure the life of all Gold-Filled, Sterling Silver and Brass jewelry, do not expose it to water. Please remove your jewelry while exercising, bathing or swimming, and avoid contact with perfumes, lotions, makeup or hair products.
We recommend cleaning your Gold-Filled & Sterling Silver jewelry using a damp, soft cloth. Make sure to fully dry the piece before wearing it. Do not use harsh chemicals, jewelry cleaners, or polishing cloths, as this will affect the finish of the solid gold. We suggest storing your jewelry in the box or pouch that we provide it with.
All Brass jewelry/parts can be buffed, cleaned, polished with a Polishing Cloth. Brass will darken and oxidize when in contact with oxygen. But you can make them looking new by polishing all the time after oxidizing.
A great DIY at Home tip? TOOTHPASTE! Cover the piece in a pea-sized amount of toothpaste, rub it for a few seconds or until you see that the color has lightened, rinse with water and dry it with paper towel.
Repeat as needed.
Please note : ANITA BERISHA JEWELRY, is not responsible for your jewelry maintenance or cleaning after purchase.
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOLD PLATE & GOLD FILL
Gold plating is a method of covering another type of metal with a very thin film of pure gold by electroplating it, the finish on gold-plated items can begin to chip and wear away over time.
Gold filled jewelry is also considered as Fine jewelry! It has a much higher amount of gold in it and is much more valuable. It is a durable piece that will not tarnish or chip for up to 30 years. It is also safe for those with metal allergies.
